SDA, or Specialist Disability Accommodation is housing that is designed for people with extreme functional impairment and/or very high support needs. SDA homes are designed to specifically incorporate accessible features that assist residents to live more independently and also allow provision for other support services to be delivered better, and with more safety.
SDA housing is regulated and specified through a set of codes and requirements as outlined by the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). Only accredited builders can design and build SDA housing.
